May 9, 2008, 12:31 PM CDT

North St. Louis — Police are searching for suspects after a woman was found shot in her car around 12:30am Friday in North St. Louis.

St. Louis Police said they were responding to a call for shots fired in the 3000 block of Thomas when they found Marquita Dailey, 31.

According to authorities, when Dailey pulled in front of a residence and stopped, a dark colored vehicle, with tinted windows pulled up next to her, the passenger side door opened and numerous shots were fired into Dailey's car. Investigators sais she was shot multiple times.

She was taken to a nearby hospital and died later.

No suspects are in custody at this time.
