Blasting Expected Along Hwy 94
Blasting is scheduled along Highway 94 in St. Peters for Tuesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 14.

Blasting is scheduled along Highway 94 in St. Peters for Tuesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 14.

According the the Missouri Department of Transportation, a contractor plans to blast rock as part of the Page Avenue project along Hwy 94 between Jungermann Road and Harvester Road.

Contractor Fred Weber Inc. has told the City of St. Peters that area businesses and homes may notice the blasts, which will be similar to thunder. The contractor is also having a pre-blast survey done on area structures within 500 feet of the blasting, and could delay blasting if those surveys are not completed.

For safety's sake, traffic will be delayed-either by being slowed or stopped-on Highway 94 in this area during the blasts.

Each blast is expected to take a few minutes.

The rock that is being blast is on the side of Highway 94's westbound lanes near Centre Point Drive, which also could experience traffic delays during blasts.

For more information, contact the Missouri Department of Transportation at 1-888-275-6636.
