Everything is back to normal at a local high school after it went on lock down Wednesday morning.

Authorities say Beaumont High School went on lock down around 7a.m. The schools says a 14-year-old student brought ammunition into the school. When he didn't make it through the metal detectors, the school went on lock down. A search was made to make sure no weapons were in the building.

The student was questions. He told officers the ammunition belonged to his mother's boyfriend, who is a hunter. He said he never planned on using the ammunition. No gun was found. The student will be placed in an alternative school.
